CAPOL^® anti-sticking agents for liquorice and other extruded products are highly stable. These products are easy and cost-effective to use, flavourless, and are subject to constant monitoring by our QA department. Our CAPOL^® products for liquorice and extruded products comply with national and international food regulations. Kosher or Halal certificates are available on request.

Liquorice – Seductively sweet and unmistakable in flavour

Liquorice is undoubtedly one of the most common and popular forms of confectionery. The unmistakable taste of liquorice is based on Glycyrrhiza glabra root extract often combined with salmiac.

Nowadays, liquorice laces also include fruit gum laces marketed under the same name.

Liquorice laces – Reliable anti-sticking and glazing treatment after pressure application

Extruded liquorice is manufactured by processing the ingredients into a thick mass and optionally adding salmiac or other flavourings. This liquorice mass is then processed into the liquorice laces we all know by pressing the liquorice mass under pressure through an extruder.

The dipping bath – An even glaze on extruded liquorice and gum products

The surface treatment of liquorice and gum laces is then carried out in a dipping bath. Liquorice laces are briefly fed through the dipping bath filled with CAPOL^® anti-sticking agent. The active ingredients in the CAPOL^® anti-sticking agent form a perfectly fine coating around the laces. This gives the product a mouth-watering glaze with ideal protection against sticking together, while prolonging the product's shelf life.
